Abstract :
In this study for surveying the relation between exercise and pulmonary function, we examine the effect of 8 weeks strength training on pulmonary function in sedentary men. Participant of this research including 28 health and yang males that were randomized divided into two groups: ( STG) Strength Training Groups with 15 men; and 13 men in to Control gGroup (CG). In this study, STG subjects were performed strength training protocol for 8 weeks. In both groups, pulmonary function parameters measure via spirometry before and after training. Results of this research showed that variables of pulmonary Function increased after eight weeks strength training. Increase in VC (%),VC(L), IRV(L), FRC(L), RV(L), TLC(L) ,PEF(L), FEV1(%),FEV1(L), RV/TLC(L) was significant but increase in other variable was not significant. These data demonstrated that a long duration strength training and physical activity (8
weeks weight training) can leads to improve pulmonary function in inactive men. So we can use of this protocol for improve pulmonary function.
