Abstract :
The main purpose of the current research is to survey and obtain the relationship between dimension of social competences of emotional intelligence and staff performances in Golestan province water and wastewater. The current research methodology is descriptive/survey and correlation and population consists of all the staff of Golestan province water and wastewater and the number of population is 300, and the sample size is chosen according to the Krejcie and Morgan table with 169 individuals and the random sampling has been used. Methods of data collection are library and field collection and tools such as questionnaire and documents available on the scores of evaluating staff performance have been used. Reliability of the questionnaire has been calculated by Cronbach’s alpha and the amount was 86%. For analyzing the data, the Chi-Square test and Spearman rank correlation have been used. The research findings showed that there is a significant relationship between the variables of social awareness, social skills and ultimately social competences and the staff performance.
