Abstract :
The construction and performance characteristics of two ion-selective membrane electrodes based on ion-pair complexes between lauryl sulphate and moclobemide (I) and disopyramide (II) are presented. The responses of the electrodes are near-Nernstian and the detection limits are 1 × 10−10 (I) and 7 × 10−8 mol 1−1 (II). The working pH ranges for the electrodes are 2.0–6.5 (I) and 2.0–8.0 (II). The selectivities of these electrodes were checked. Inorganic cations Na+, K+, Ca2+ do not interfere. Both membrane electrodes can be used for potentiometric titration of the active principle (I and II) of raw materials and drugs formulations.
