Water solubility enhancement of pyrene in the presence of humic substances, by S. Tanaka et al.: comments

The ability of the anionic surfactant sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate to significantly enhance the solubility of pyrene in aqueous solution when added at a concentration below the cmc was not confirmed. Possible reasons for the discrepancy are revealed.
