Abstract :
A porphyrinic-based microelectrode was applied for the determination of nitric oxide (NO) saturated solution by absolute chronoamperometry. This method is based upon the separation of the current component limited by linear diffusion from that limited by the cylindrical contribution to the total flux of the determined substance to the cylindrical electrode. Precision and accuracy were tested and compared with the UV/VIS Griess method. The concentration of saturated NO solution was 1.74±0.03 mmol−1.
