Design and evaluation of an improved simplex method Original Research Article

Different modifications concerning the efficiency and the convergence ability of the modified simplex method were evaluated for nine test functions. The speed, reliability and convergence ability of the simplex method was enhanced by simplifying the degeneracy control and using a correction of the vertices located outside a variable boundary back to the boundary.
