Abstract
A co-electroosmotic capillary electrophoretic (CE) system with amperometric detection (AD) was used for the simultaneous determination of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and adenosine monophosphate (AMP). The optimum electrolyte consisted of 0.02 M phosphate adjusted to pH 5.40 and 0.15 mM cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). Baseline separation was obtained within 21 min. Using a carbon fiber disc electrode at a potential of +1.20 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), a good linear relation between peak current and concentration for each analyte was obtained in the range of 5 ∼ 150 μg/ml. For the studied system, the precisions of migration time and peak current (in terms of relative standard deviation, n = 5) were in the range of 1.5 ∼ 1.8% and 2.0 ∼ 3.1%, respectively. The method was demonstrated by analyzing ATP, ADP and AMP in real medicinal tablets.
