Abstract :
The aim of present study examined the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral intervention on mental health and life quality of mother’s children with autism. This study was semi-experimental method without control group. Statistical population consisted of all mother’s children with autism of Bandar Anzali City and where used of available sampling method. After justifying subjects, pre-test was taken and then performed training based on cognitive- behavioral approach. Finally after ending 12 sessions, post-test has been taken. Tools consisted General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) and Life Quality Questionnaire. Data was analyzed with paired t test method, using SPSS software. Results showed that cognitive behavioral intervention has a significant effect on mental health and life quality of mother’s children with autism (p < 0.01).
