Numerical analysis of subsurface object discrimination systems

A numerical study of the electromagnetic detection of buried metallic objects is presented. The numerical data are corroborated by comparisons with analytical results and an innovative configuration for discrimination is presented along with a sensitivity analysis on material and shape variations.
