Abstract :
This paper reports an analysis of the effect of residual stress resulting from the manufacturing process on the non-linear behaviour of a laminate. To investigate non-linear behaviour, Part I of this study addressed the manufactured specimen, assessment of residual stress within the laminate, and mechanical testing. This second part is devoted to the modelling of the non-linear behaviour of the laminate, including damage and plastic behaviour. The set of layer parameters is identified for each laminate and compared to the residual stresses. This comparison shows that damage and plastic failure criteria depend on residual stresses.
