Abstract :
Marital satisfaction is one of the subjects whose fulfillment contributes effectively in explaining the health of people, families and the society as a whole. Thus, researchers have examined it from different aspects. The aim of the research was to examine the relationship between marital satisfaction and the emotional intelligence. The current research is a correlation study. The statistical population includes the married women at the dormitory of the Tabrizʹs Medical Sciences University where 132 people were selected by way of random sampling and based on the Cochran formula (Morgan table). Data were collected using the Enrich marital satisfaction questionnaire (47- question) and Cyber yashrink. Analyzing data was first performed by using the Pearson correlation coefficient and then by7 regression analysis. The results obtained indicated that there was a significant relationship between marital satisfaction and the emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence factors contribute to the marital satisfaction and from among the emotional intelligence dimensions, self control contributes highly to0 predicting the variable of the marital satisfaction.
