Nominal strength of quasi-brittle open hole specimens

The relation between the nominal strength of open hole specimens manufactured with quasi-brittle isotropic materials with respect to the specimen size and the shape of the cohesive law is examined in the present paper. The obtained results can be used by engineers as design charts or to obtain valuable information on the failure characteristics of quasi-brittle materials.
