Carrier localization and excitonic transitions in quantum-dot quantum-well nanoheterostructures

The electronic and optical properties of ZnS/CdS/ZnS nanoheterostructures are theoretically studied within the View the MathML source tight-binding model. The analysis of our results reveals a strong influence of the CdS well. The calculated and experimental absorption spectra are in good agreement.
