Abstract :
We report the results of time-resolved photoluminescence (TR-PL) spectroscopy on self-organised InAs–Al0.6Ga0.4As quantum dots with indirect barriers. The TR measurements confirm that carriers excited in Al0.6Ga0.4As barriers are captured by the dots on the time scale of 45–View the MathML source despite the indirect nature of the barriers. The dynamics of the PL decay time are consistent with a carrier hopping process between dots.
