Abstract :
The shift of Bragg diffraction spectra under the pulsed illumination of YAG:Nd laser has been observed in synthetic opal with pores filled with vanadium dioxide (VO2). The effect is governed by the phase transition in VO2-opal photonic crystal, which is accompanied by strong changes in the VO2 dielectric constant.
