Abstract :
By using Zn(acac)2·H2O as a single-source precursor, ZnO nanorods have been synthesized via a simple hydrothermal method in the presence of surfactant. The nanorods with an average diameter of 100 nm and a length up to 5 μm were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected-area electron diffraction (SAED), and UV–vis spectrum. It was revealed that the surfactant and the reaction temperature have a great influence on the morphology of the resulting ZnO products.
