Abstract
The influences of strong lateral homogeneous electric field on single-particle states and on interband optical transitions in quantized nanocylindrical layer are studied theoretically. How strong the external field leads to an additional localization of the particle by the angular coordinate is shown. In the framework of adiabatic approximation explicit expressions of energy spectrum and envelope wave functions of single-electron states in the layer are obtained. The dependences of threshold frequencies and correspondent intensities of interband electrooptical dipole transitions upon the geometrical sizes of the sample and upon the intensity of external field are obtained. It is also shown that the strong external field leads to explicit dependence of transition intensities from the values of effective masses of charge carriers. This circumstance can be used for experimental definition of values of effective masses of carriers.
