Abstract :
Triple quantum dots present rich and interesting electron spin dynamics coming from the interplay of different coherent phenomena: coherent population trapping due to interference of the electron wave function and Aharonov–Bohm current oscillations evoked by a magnetic flux crossing the triple quantum dot area. On top of that, a time-dependent magnetic field can induce coherent spin rotations of the electronic spins if its frequency matches the Zeeman splitting in the dots. We discuss the interaction of these phenomena for a triple quantum dot filled with one extra electron and show the destruction of coherent population trapping by spin scattering processes. Furthermore, we demonstrate single-electron spin rotations induced by a time-dependent magnetic field.
