Abstract :
Two-dimensional exciton with spatially-separated electron (e) and hole (h) in coupled quantum wells in transverse magnetic field is studied. Wide range of parameters—distance between wells d and magnetic field H—is considered. Dispersion laws Ei(P) for different values d and H are presented. Exciton energy spectra and wave functions are calculated using numerical diagonalization of the Hamiltonian on different bases. Exciton energy spectrum for a weak fixed H transforms with growth of magnetic momentum P from Coulomb-like regime to strong magnetic field regime. The possibility of ionization of two-dimensional spatially-separated exciton moving in transverse magnetic fields is discussed.
