Origin of huge anisotropic mobility in quantum wire arrays

The conductivity is calculated in lateral superlattices with weak disorder in the periodic potential by solving a Boltzmann equation exactly. A singular behavior of the distribution function due to anisotropic nature of scattering potential and diffuse Bragg scattering leads to a commensurate oscillation in the direction both parallel and perpendicular to the superlattice as well as a huge anisotropy.
