Abstract
We investigated the internal dynamics of a bucky shuttle memory system, consisting of three C60+s encapsulated in (10, 10) boron-nitride (BN) nanotubes and filled Cu electrode. Energetics and operating response of the shuttle-memory-element proposed were examined by using classical molecular dynamics simulations. The C60+ shuttle in the BN nanotube capsule was found under the external force fields. For the stable operations of the shuttle memory device, the periods and the magnitudes of the operating force fields were investigated.
