Abstract :
The time-resolved photoinduced dissociation process of a diatomic molecule (CsCl) was investigated both theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that by applying a sequence of two different laser pulses the dissociation process may be controlled, according to the Tannor–Rice scheme. Using feedback-controlled optimization algorithms a self-learning system has been realized, which is able to control the product channel without a priori knowledge on the molecular potential surfaces.
