Abstract
The mechanism of magnetic field quenching of the NO β(0–9)-transition fluorescence was studied using the LIF method. It was found that field dependencies of the NO B 2β(v=0) state LIF quenching are the same, being corresponding dependencies obtained in different atom recombination reactions, or energy transfer processes from a metastable excited system to the NO molecule. The results obtained were explained by simultaneous action of the `gatewayʹ mechanism, and of the mechanism of magnetic field-induced coupling of rovibronic levels of the B2?(v=0) state with levels of an adjacent electronic state.
