Abstract
The Fourier transform emission spectrum of the electronic transition A 2Σ+–X 2Π of N2O+ has been recorded at high resolution in the spectral range 24 500–30 000 cm−1, by using two different Penning ionization sources. The resolved rotational structures observed in the two records correspond to rotational temperatures estimated to be about 340 and 30 K. A complete vibronic analysis has been carried out on the rotationally cold spectrum. All the assignments are in excellent agreement with the calculations of H. Gritli et al. [Chem. Phys. 178 (1993) 223], including the effects of Fermi resonances observed in X 2Π.
