Abstract
By utilizing the energy–time uncertainty relation, intramolecular vibrational energy re-distribution (IVR) is interpretable based on either a time-dependent wave function or an energy spectrum. In the present study, the Wigner representation is adopted for the energy–time uncertainty relation. The energy–time (E–t) Wigner representation of autocorrelation function is shown to be capable of representing both dynamical and spectral information simultaneously in the E–t plane. The E–t Wigner representation of time-dependent density matrix leads to the probability density of feature states.
