Abstract :
The 101 bond of the Ã2Π−X̃2Σ+ system of SrOH has been observed at Doppler-limited resolution using cw dye laser excitation coupled with selective detection. Using a digitally interfaced scanning monochromator, rotationally resolved dispersed fluorescence spectra of the 111, 121, and 231 bands have also been recorded and analyzed. Vibrational term values and rotational constants for several vibrational levels in the Ã2Π and X̃2Σ+ states are determined. Coriolis interactions arising from the near degeneracy of the (200) and (0310) levels is found to have a negligible effect on the rotational energy level structure of the (200) level.
