Abstract
Li2O–MgO–B2O3 glasses containing different concentrations of TiO2 (ranging from 0 to 1.0 mol.%) were prepared. A number of studies namely dielectric properties (constant ε′, loss tanδ and a.c. conductivity σa.c. as in the frequency 102–105 Hz and in temperature range 30–300 °C), optical absorption, ESR, magnetic susceptibility, thermoluminescence and infrared spectra were carried out on these glasses. Results have been analyzed in the light of different oxidation states of titanium ions in the glass matrix.
