Bonding trend in zinc-blende structure binary compounds: A clue to understand superionic conductors

The bonding trend in binary compounds with the zinc-blende structure has been studied by using the real space pseudopotential. It is suggested that the appearance of the superionic behavior is related to the easiness of electron excitation which is quantified by the relative magnitude of the pseudopotential at mid point along the body diagonal in the zinc-blende structure.
