Biomolecule-assisted hydrothermal synthesis and one-dimensional self-assembly of copper sulfide nanocrystallites

A simple biomolecule-assisted hydrothermal approach was developed to synthesize one-dimensional copper sulfide self-assembled with nanocrystallites. The strategy presented here is the application of l-cysteine, acting not only as complexing agent but also as sulfur source.
