Abstract :
AlN–TiB2 ceramic slender tube with blind hole was fabricated via Low-Pressure Injection Molding (LPIM) technique, followed by Self-propagation High temperature Synthesis synchronous densification by Hot Isostatic Pressing (SHS-HIP) in which no envelope is needed.
The wax-based binder system includes PW, EVA, LDPE and SA. The influence of injection processing parameters on the injection defects in green parts was studied systemically. According to the binder removal under certain heating rate with the aid of TG and DSC, the debinding schedule was established. Relative density and maximal bending strength of final product sintered by SHS-HIP under super-high nitrogen (100 MPa) reached 95% and 350 MPa, respectively.
