Abstract :
The hardness of the spot welded nugget is considered as an important parameter in the computation of stress intensity factors. A novel approach, which employs the hardness of the nugget, is developed to obtain the stress intensity factors. The results are compared with the previous results on the computation of stress intensity factors.
