Deformable contour method based on variational approach to a constrained optimisation formulation

A deformable contour method derived from the variational approach to a constrained contour energy minimisation formulation is presented. The constraint is a function that characterises target object interiors. A new constraint is also proposed with better results when compared to other conventional deformable contour methods.
