Total least squares and equilibration algorithm for range difference location

A source location algorithm based on the range difference measurements of a signal received by a number of sensors is proposed. This algorithm uses total least squares (TLS) and prior equilibration computation, achieving a better RMSE performance than both conventional weighted least squares and classic TLS based algorithms.
