Speech enhancement using perceptually-constrained gain factors in critical-band-wavelet-packet transform

A closed-form solution of gain factor for wavelet coefficients in a subband is derived by constraining the residual noise to be lower than the noise masking threshold. Experimental results show that this approach can efficiently remove the corrupting noise without any empirical factor.
