Abstract :
The combination of thermal or Ag(I) catalysed imine→azomethine ylide→cycloaddition cascades with a subsequent Pictet–Spengler reaction allows the assembly of polyfunctional N-heterocycles, via formation of 4 bonds and 2 rings, in good yield.
