Abstract :
Six new diterpenoids, pachyclavulariolides A (1) to F (6), with cembrane and briarane carbon skeletons have been isolated from specimens of Pachyclavularia violacea collected in Papua New Guinea. The structures of the new diterpenoids were elucidated by analysis of spectroscopic data. A single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis of pachyclavulariolide B (2) confirmed its structure. Pachyclavulariolide F (6) showed in vitro cytotoxicity.
