Reaction between triphenylphosphine and arylsulfonylglycyl chlorides. Synthesis of N-[(Z)-2-chloro-2-(1-hydroxy-1,1,1-triphenylphosphoranyl)-ethenyl]-1-arylsulfonamides

Stable hydroxyphosphoranes are obtained in excellent yields from the reaction between triphenylphosphine and arylsulfonylglycyl chlorides in dry tetrahydrofuran or dry diethyl ether.
