Abstract :
Two novel hexaglycosides based upon the pentacyclic tetranor-lanostane skeleton with a γ-lactone system, designated as lucilianoside A () and B (), were isolated from the bulbs of Chionodoxa luciliae. Their chemical structures were determined by spectroscopic analysis, including extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data, and the results of acid hydrolysis. Lucilianosides A and B exhibited a weak cytotoxicity against HSC-2 cells.
