Abstract :
Cyclo- and carbomagnesiation of 1,2-dienes with EtMgR′ (R′=Et, Br) in the presence of Cp2ZrCl2 catalyst lead to alkylidenemagnesiocyclopentanes. Deuterolysis provides insights into the reaction pathways.
