Abstract :
The 1,4-benzodioxin-2-carboxylic esters or carboxamides react with nucleophilic amines to give access to 3-hydroxy-2,3-dihydro-1,4-benzodioxin-2-carboxamides and 3-aminomethyn-1,4-benzodioxin-2(3H)-one precursors of potential therapeutical compounds. The basic environment (K2CO3 or amine) facilitates the process.
