Abstract :
An efficient noncarbohydrate-based enantioselective synthesis of (+)-6-epicastanospermine has been developed utilizing the Sharpless asymmetric aminohydroxylation of furyl acrylate and oxidation of α-furfurylamine derivative as key steps.
