Abstract :
Regioselective Diels–Alder reactions of masked o-benzoquinones (MOBs) derived from the corresponding 2-methoxyphenols with acrylonitrile leading to highly functionalized bicyclo[2.2.2]octenone derivatives in high yields are described.
