Abstract :
The first syntheses of the urinary isoflavone metabolites, daidzein 4′-sulfate, daidzein 7-sulfate and daidzein 4′,7-disulfate are described. These syntheses employ a key protecting group strategy, allowing regiospecific sulfation.
