Covalently linked heterofullerene–porphyrin conjugates; new model systems for long-lived intramolecular charge separation

Attaching tetraphenyl porphyrins, with peripheral acetyl or malonate groups, to C59N leads to the first covalently linked heterofullerene–porphyrin conjugates that exhibit long-lived intramolecular charge separation.
