Abstract :
The effect of dissolved hydrogen on the mechanical properties of a titanium core is considered by simulating extrusion of a bimetallic mass. The optimal counterpressure and concentration of hydrogen in a titanium alloy, which make it possible to attain the maximum plasticity and uniformity of the titanium core are determined by solving the problems of diffusion and plastic deformation of a bimetallic blank composed of a copper matrix and a titanium core.
