ON VIBRATION EXCITATION BY FRICTION FORCES IN MASSIVE MACHINE ACTUATOR GUIDEWAYS

We study a nonlinear dynamic model of the dual drive of the massive actuator of a production machine with account for the elasto/dissipative characteristics and the clearances and the friction in the sliding guideways. Computer simulation is used to establish the significant role of the impulsive action of the friction forces during motion reversal in the clearances. We obtain the analytic relations that determine the pulsation of the frequency characteristics and the optimal relationships of several important design parameters.
