ON THE CRITERIA OF RESIDUAL STRESS OPTIMALITY IN AN ELASTIC BODY

We formulate the equistrength criteria and the local and global criteria of optimality of the residual stresses in an elastic body for a known field of the stresses from an external load. We pose the game problem of selecting from the possible set of residual stress tensors the single tensor that is optimal for the given set of tensors of the stresses arising in the body as the result of the alternating action of several external loads.
