Abstract :
We present the exact analytic solutions (fundamental and particular) of the problems of non-axisymmetric longitudinal/transverse bending of thin cylindrical orthotropic, linearly/thermoelastic circular plates, which, subjected to the action of mechanical and thermal loads that are represented by Fourier expansions, distort with small deformations and small deflections. Representing the sought functions by Fourier expansions, the two resolving systems for each harmonic of the three differential equations, two of which arc coupled and include the Euler operators of first and second orders, are reduced to an uncoupled system of two equations of the Euler type of fourth order, written in polynomial form. The particular solutions for the nonhomogeneous equations are obtained by repeated integration of the operator equations in polynomial form. We give an example of the calculation of the thermal deformations of an annular plate.
