Abstract :
Certonardosterol D2, a polyhydroxysterol isolated from starfish Certonardoa semiregularis with exceptionally potent antitumor activity, was stereoselectively synthesized from natural rich diosgenin via the protocol of Julia olefination and Evans aldol reaction.
