ON THE STABILITY OF A SPHERICAL GASDYNAMIC BEARING WITH MULTIPLE GROOVES

We linearize the system, consisting of the Reynolds equation and the equations of motion of the rotor, in the vicinity of the stationary point and analyze the spectrum of the linear problem and present the scheme of its solution. The results are used to determine the stability of the bearing.
